The Naiads were mythical nymphs protectors of springs, rivers and lakes and bear their name from the root "nao" which means flow-run, thus wanting to give a glimpse of their close relationship with the liquid element and water. . They were considered deities of fertility and were often attributed healing properties, a fact that confirms their constant presence in all the great feasts of the gods related to the fertility of the earth.

In this Retreat, drawing inspiration from the myth of the Naiads, we will tour the most important lakes in the Peloponnese, such as Lake Doxa, Lake Tsivlou, Stymfalia and the Cave of the Lakes to connect with the liquid element. Utilizing the fields of the lakes, we will integrate in our practice and meditation, aspects related to the first & second Chakra, aiming at the healing, and strengthening of the reproductive organs.

At a time when the balance of the environment is being tested, we will cultivate sensitivity about the invaluable value of water for humans and the earth, while strengthening our responsibility for protection and respect.

The basis of our escape will be Feneos, a treasure of mountainous Corinth on the slopes of the mountains of Helmos and Ziria, with images reminiscent of alpine landscapes. The mountainous area of ​​Feneos extends to a large plateau, crowned by dense forested mountains, bordering the prefecture of Achaia to the west and the prefecture of Arcadia to the south.

A little higher than the basin of Feneos, surrounded by the Aroania Mountains and the peaks of Kyllini, is the deep blue lake Doxa, at an altitude of 900 meters, in Ancient Feneos, Corinth. A little further north, we will find Lake Tsivlou, one of the few mountain lakes in the Peloponnese, on the borders of the prefecture of Achaia, on the slopes of the mountain of Kalavrita, and Helmos. It is a natural lake with a life of less than a hundred years since it was added to the geophysical map of the area only in 1913. Lake Tsivlou is located at an altitude of about 800 meters in a green landscape of great natural beauty.

Another stop of our tour will be the jagged Diakoptos-Kalavrita, in a unique route of about an hour which crosses the gorge of Vouraikos, passes through the village of Zachlorou and ends in Kalavrita. Traveling 22 kilometers, the train climbs to an altitude of 750 meters while the river creates small and large waterfalls with its waters falling almost vertically and rapidly under the bridge of the line. With a stop at the Great Cave, we will approach Kalavrita and the abundance of water that gushes in this place.

Our escape will end with a visit to the Baths of the beautiful Eleni, a location taken from the fairy tales in the green and with thermal waters gushing from the mountain. The therapeutic properties of the source are beneficial both for gynecological diseases and for the very firmness and well-being of the skin. We will take advantage of the opportunity for healing and recovery enjoying one of the most beautiful and powerful natural hydromassage.

Our accommodation is located in ​​Feneos Mountainous Corinth and specifically in Syvista, on the main provincial road and at a distance of 200m from the center of the village, at an altitude of 950m.

It offers amazing views to the beautiful plain of Feneos and the mountain peaks of Helmos while a short distance (4km) is Lake Doxa. It can accommodate up to 11 people with 3 double rooms (double beds) and 1 quadruple room (two double bunk beds, one single bed).
